About Me
Hi! I’m Alice, the founder of The Learning Lab - where science meets support and success.
I am a qualified and experienced science educator with a deep love of helping young people grow in confidence, curiosity and capability. Teaching science isn’t just my job, it’s what lights me up. I started this business to offer students the kind of personalised, flexible learning that classrooms can’t always provide.
Whether it’s watching a studnet finally have that “eureka” moment or seeing them smash their target grade, I’m inspired everyday by each of my students progress and potential.
My trusty mascot and the inspiration for the name “The Learning Lab” is my trusty black labrador, Lyra.
What I Offer
Tailored 1-2-1 and small group tutoring in person and online. My tutoring is designed for confident application and real results. I specialise in:
KS3 Science - Building strong foundations and developing awe and wonder.
GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics - Exam preparation, revision strategies and required practicals.
A Level Biology & BTEC Applied Science - Deep diving into more complex content with clear structured support.
Sessions are interactive, flexible and designed to fit the student’s pace and goals with regular opportunities to check for understanding and practise exam style questions.
Qualifications & Experience

I am a fully qualified science teacher with a BSc (Hons) and a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status in Secondary Science Education. I have 6 years experience in the classroom, with leadership responsibility as KS3 Science Lead and a proven track record of exam results.
